When I first came to see Mel, I didn't really know what was going on with me. I had anxiety I couldn't understand the root cause of. I lacked boundaries with work, relationships and myself. Having a safe space to talk with Mel along with her empathetic approach, I was able to gently unpick what was going on. Everything was at my own pace, I felt supported and contained. My first words to Mel were "I feel lost" and on my last session I said "I know where I am headed and what I need to do." Thank you so much Mel for everything.

The first time I spoke to Mel, I wasn’t in a good place and was depressed. At the time, I was very stressed with work and had other personal issues going on. Speaking to Mel gave me a safe place to talk and she provided me with useful techniques to help me cope with my stress and my anxiety. She didn’t put any pressure on me and allowed me to just be myself and talk about anything that was on my mind without judgement. I am now in a much healthier and happier place since having my sessions with Mel. Thank you very much for all your help and support.

Mel stepped into my life at exactly the right time. I was recovering from bilateral breast cancer, every ounce of confidence was ripped from me and I was in such a dark place. However, Mel asked me what I could do, not what I couldn’t. She carefully supported me to realise my potential as a person, she tweaked out my needs and supported me to realise - there IS life after cancer. With Mel you are in safe hands of an expert who can bring out the best in you. Best wishes xx

I cannot recommend Mel enough. When we first met I was suffering from grief, bereavement, trauma from a serious illness, anxiety and self doubt. From the get go, I felt connected to Mel. She understood where I was coming from and through her gentle questioning and guidance, helped me not only understand the underlying causes of the issues I was experiencing but gave me a way forward that was easily manageable to integrate in my everyday life. My perspective on life going forward is so much better. Thank you Mel for everything.

I was unsure about taking up therapy on the telephone as I was unsure how it would work. Soon as I spoke to Mel it was like she already knew me. I was not in a good place, living in complete fear about my diagnosis and treatment. I had also not recovered well from surgery. Each week Mel gave me strategies to help me through my fears and anxiety. When I was in fight - flight mode, she was able to calm me down, which made me feel safe and understood. I’ll never forget those days and how she helped me through them.

I started counseling with Mel through Macmillan after being diagnosed with Leukaemia. I suffered from depression after my treatment and Mel very skilfully helped me navigate this with sensitivity, understanding, and practical tips. Mel was very approachable and warm and listened carefully to everything I had to say. I was a little sceptical in the beginning but thanks to Mel I have managed to come through the depression much wiser and clearer about the underlying causes. I am extremely grateful and am feeling far more optimistic for the future. Thank you!
